| 2 | The Anti-allergic Activity of Polyphenol Extracted from Five Marine Algae显示文摘Natural polyphenol has been widely believed to be effective in allergy remission. Currently, most of the natural polyphenol products come from terrestrial sources such as tea, grape seeds among others, and few polyphenols have been developed from algae for their anti-allergic activity. The aim of the study was to screen some commercial seaweed for natural extracts with anti-allergic activity. Five algae including Laminaria japonica, Porphyra sp., Spirulina platensis, Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Scytosiphon sp. were extracted with ethanol, and the extracts were evaluated for total polyphenol contents and anti-allergic activity with the hyaluronidase inhibition assay. Results showed that the total polyphenol contents in the ethanol extracts ranged from 1.67% to 8.47%, while the highest was found in the extract from Scytosiphon sp. Hyaluronidase inhibition assay showed that the extracts from Scytosiphon sp. had the lowest IC50, 0.67 mg m L-1, while Chlorella pyrenoidosa extract had the highest IC50, 15.07 mg m L-1. The anti-allergic activity of Scytosiphon sp. extract was even higher than the typical anti-allergic drug Disodium Cromoglycate(DSCG)(IC50 = 1.13 mg m L-1), and was similar with natural polyphenol from Epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)(IC50 = 0.56 mg m L-1). These results indicated that the ethanol extract of Scytosiphon sp. contains a high concentration of polyphenol with high anti-allergic activity. | 3 | Docetaxel-loaded liposomes: preparation, pH sensitivity,Pharmacokinetics, and tissue distribution显示文摘Docetaxel (DTX), as a member of taxoid family, has been widely used in the treatment of cancers. The present study prepared pH-sensitive DTX-loaded liposomes (DTX-Lips) by thin-film dispersion method and various physico-chemical and morphological properties were examined. The pH sensitivity of in vitro DTX release and the in vivo pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution using Kunming mice were also investigated. The mean particle size and zetapotential of DTX liposomes were (277±2) nm and (-32.60±0.26) mV, respectively. Additionally, in vitro drug release study showed that the cumulative release rate was 1.3 times more at pH 5.0 than at pH 7.4, suggesting a pH-dependent releaseability of DTX-Lips. Pharmacokinetic and pharmaceutical studies in comparison with Duopafei showed that the half-timeperiod (t1/2) and area under the curve (AUC) of DTX-Lips in mouse plasma were 1.8 times longer and 2.6 times higher,respectively, and that DTX-Lips selectively accumulated in macrophage-rich organs such as liver and spleen. | 4 | A space power system of free piston Stirling generator based on potassium heat pipe显示文摘The power system of a free piston Stirling generator(FPSG)based on potassium heat pipes has been developed in this paper.Thanks to the advantages of long life,high reliability,and high overall thermal efficiency,the FPSG is a promising candidate for nuclear energy,especially in space exploration.In this paper,the recent progress of FPSG based on nuclear reactor for space use was briefly reviewed.A novel FPSG weighted only 4.2 kg was designed,and one dimensional thermodynamic modeling of the FPSG using Sage software was performed to estimate its performance.The experiment results indicated that this FPSG could provide 142.4 W at a thermal-to-electric efficiency of nearly 17.4%.Besides,the power system integrated with four FPSGs and potassium heat pipes was performed and the single machine failure test was conducted.The results show that this system could provide an electrical power of 300 W at an overall thermal efficiency of 7.3%.Thus,it is concluded that this power system is feasible and will have a great prospect for future applications. | Mingqiang LIN Jian MOU Chunyun CHI Guotong HONG Panhe GE Gu HU | 2020 | Frontiers in Energy2020，14，1： | 5 |

| 8 | Eukaryotic expression of outer membrane protein Gpd from Treponema pallidum and preliminary studies on its immune response in rabbits显示文摘The Gpd gene was amplified from the genomic DNA of Treponema pallidum and cloned into the appropriate site of pcDNA3.1(+) vector. The expression of pcDNA3.1(+)-Gpd in HeLa cells was tested with Western blotting and technology of immunocytochemistry. New Zealand rabbits were immunized with the eukaryotic expression recombinant pcDNA3.1(+)-Gpd. A fusion protein of Gpd with 4.1 kDa has been effectively expressed in HeLa cells, which were detected by Western blotting and the immunocytochemistry techniques. The New Zealand rabbits were able to elicit the specific antibody after immunization with the nucleic acid vaccine. The antibody titer could reach as high as 1∶1024 after 2 weeks of the third injection; and the splenocytes proliferated evidently due to the Gpd protein stimulation. Both the antibody titer and the splenocytes proliferation were higher substantially than those of controls (P<0.01). | 9 | Novel 6-bp Deletion Mutation in visfatin Gene and Its Associations with Birth Weight and Bodyweight in Chinese Cattle显示文摘Visfatin, like insulin, induces phosphorylation of signal transduction proteins that operatate downstream of the insulin receptor. The present study is focused on detecting deletion of visfatin gene and analyzing its effect on growth traits in six Chinese cattle breeds (Nangyang, Luxi, Qinchuan, Jiaxian Red, Grassland Red, and Chinese Holstein) using DNA sequencing, PCR-SSCP and PCR-RFLP methods. For the first time, a 6-bp deletion of visfatin was described and two alleles were revealed:W and D. The χ2-test analysis demonstrated that all breeds were in agreement with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P>0.05). The associations of the novel 6-bp deletion of visfatin gene with growth traits of Nanyang cattle at 6-, 12-, 18-, and 24-mon-old were analyzed. Birth weight, 12- and 24-mon-old cattle with genotype WW had greater birth weight and average daily gain than genotype WD (P<0.01 or P<0.05). | 17 | Analysis of Chinese Medical Syndrome Features of Ischemic Stroke Based on Similarity of Symptoms Subgroup显示文摘Objective: To derive the Chinese medicine(CM) syndrome classification and subgroup syndrome characteristics of ischemic stroke patients. Methods: By extracting the CM clinical electronic medical records(EMRs) of 7,170 hospitalized patients with ischemic stroke from 2016 to 2018 at Weifang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shandong Province, China, a patient similarity network(PSN) was constructed based on the symptomatic phenotype of the patients. Thereafter the efficient community detection method BGLL was used to identify subgroups of patients. Finally, subgroups with a large number of cases were selected to analyze the specific manifestations of clinical symptoms and CM syndromes in each subgroup. Results: Seven main subgroups of patients with specific symptom characteristics were identified, including M3, M2, M1, M5, M0, M29and M4. M3 and M0 subgroups had prominent posterior circulatory symptoms, while M3 was associated with autonomic disorders, and M4 manifested as anxiety;M2 and M4 had motor and motor coordination disorders;M1 had sensory disorders;M5 had more obvious lung infections;M29 had a disorder of consciousness. The specificity of CM syndromes of each subgroup was as follows. M3, M2, M1, M0, M29 and M4 all had the same syndrome as wind phlegm pattern;M3 and M0 both showed hyperactivity of Gan(Liver) yang pattern;M2 and M29 had similar syndromes, which corresponded to intertwined phlegm and blood stasis pattern and phlegm-stasis obstructing meridians pattern, respectively. The manifestations of CM syndromes often appeared in a combination of 2 or more syndrome elements. The most common combination of these 7 subgroups was wind-phlegm. The 7 subgroups of CM syndrome elements were specifically manifested as pathogenic wind, pathogenic phlegm,and deficiency pathogens. Conclusions: There were 7 main symptom similarity-based subgroups in ischemic stroke patients, and their specific characteristics were obvious.
