| 1 | Mobile Ubiquitous Service Environment显示文摘The Mobile Ubiquitous Service Environment (MUSE),established through the coordination and integration of mobile telecommunications and ubiquitous network,in the pursuit of Always Best Experience (ABE),represents the major development trend for the next generation mobile wireless network. Research on MUSE will involve the integration of the computing model system,service platform system,operating system and terminal structure system,all of which involve exploration and innovation of a new networking structure,its control and management as well as way of measuring. The change in network resources triggers the change in network computing models. To let readers have a basic understanding of MUSE,this lecture introduces it in four sections. | 2 | A Modified max-log-MAP Decoding Algorithm for Turbo Decoding显示文摘Turbo decoding is iterative decoding, and the MAP algorithm is optimal in terms of performance in Turbo decoding. The log MAP algorithm is the MAP executed in the logarithmic domain, so it is also optimal. Both the MAP and the log MAP algorithm are complicated for implementation. The max log MAP algorithm is derived from the log MAP with approximation, which is simply compared with the log MAP algorithm but is suboptimal in terms of performance. A modified max log MAP algorithm is presented in this paper, based on the Taylor series of logarithm and exponent. | 3 | A survey of next generation mobile communications researchin China显示文摘With the rapid development of wireless communication networks, the fourth generation (4G) has emerged to move beyond the limitations of the third generation (3G), with increased bandwidth, enhanced quality of services, and reduced costs of resources. In this paper, we discuss the key technologies of 4G and focus on surveying the ongoing research in 4G communications in China. The 4G technologies under investigation include multicarrier transmission, multiple antenna techniques, carrier aggregation, relays, cognitive radio, distributed antenna systems, network convergence, and network self-optimization. These technologies are the building blocks of 4G and contribute largely to the requirements of International Mobile Telecommunications Advanced (IMT-Advanced). For each technology, its benefits, research topics, and some existing approaches are examined. | 5 | Low-complexity distributed differential spacetime coding scheme for amplify-and-forward cooperative networks显示文摘By introducing a space-time coding scheme based on amicable orthogonality, we develop a distributed differential space-time coding scheme with the amplify-and-forward (AF) method for wireless cooperative networks. The scheme requires no knowledge of the channel state information at both transmitters and receivers, and effectively decreases the realization complexity due to no channel estimation. Moreover, it has lower decoding complexity and higher coding advantage than the existing scheme, thus avoiding the shortcoming of exponential decoding complexity of some existing schemes. According to the pairwise error probability (PEP) analysis of the system, the power allocations of source and relay terminals are jointly optimized, and as a result, the PEP is minimized, which will provide a helpful guideline for system design. Numerical calculation and simulation results show that the developed scheme is superior to the existing scheme. | 6 | A Two-Level Spreading-despreading CDMA System and Its Performance Evaluation显示文摘A new two level spreading despreading scheme is presented in this paper. By adopting the two level scheme, the Generalized Orthogonal (GO) zone of GO codes can be utilized. In this paper, the forward link of a multi cell CDMA system employing the two level scheme is presented and analyzed. The BER performance obtained by Gaussian Approximation is compared with that of the conventional single level spreading despreading system. | 8 | Decoding algorithms for shortened-extended turbo product codes in WiMAX systems显示文摘The component codes of turbo product codes in WiMAX systems are extended Hamming codes and single parity check codes as well as their shortened forms. In this paper, three novel iterative decoding algorithms based on Chase, MAP algorithms and their combination are proposed for shortened-extended turbo product codes. The iterative decoding algorithm based on Chase algorithm is proposed to reduce the decoding complexity without any performance loss. An efficient MAP algorithm is then proposed to decode the component codes of shortened single parity check codes and shortened-extended Hamming codes. A comprehensive performance comparison of the proposed decoding schemes is conducted for three typical classes of turbo product codes in WiMAX OFDMA systems. | 18 | A Case Study of 3D Protein Structure Prediction with Genetic Algorithm and Tabu Search显示文摘This paper describes a case study of 3D protein structure prediction of six sequences from protein data bank (PDB) by genetic algorithm and tabu search (GATS), where off-lattice AB model is considered as a simplified model of protein structure. The lowest-energy values required for forming the native conformation of proteins are searched by GATS, and then the coarse structures (i.e., simplified structure) of the proteins are obtained according to the multiple angle parameters corresponding to the lowest energies. All the coarse structures form single hydrophobic cores surrounded by hydrophilic residues, which stay on the right side of the actual characteristic of protein structure.
