| 1 | Effect of climate change on seasonal monsoon in Asia and its impact on the variability of monsoon rainfall in Southeast Asia显示文摘Global warming and climate change is one of the most extensively researched and discussed topical issues affecting the environment.Although there are enough historical evidence to support the theory that climate change is a natural phenomenon,many research scientists are widely in agreement that the increase in temperature in the 20 th century is anthropologically related.The associated effects are the variability of rainfall and cyclonic patterns that are being observed globally.In Southeast Asia the link between global warming and the seasonal atmospheric flow during the monsoon seasons shows varying degree of fuzziness.This study investigates the impact of climate change on the seasonality of monsoon Asia and its effect on the variability of monsoon rainfall in Southeast Asia.The comparison of decadal variation of precipitation and temperature anomalies before the 1970 s found general increases which were mostly varying.But beyond the 1970 s,global precipitation anomalous showed increases that almost corresponded with increases in global temperature anomalies for the same period.There are frequent changes and a shift westward of the Indian summer monsoon.Although precipitation is observed to be 70%below normal levels,in some areas the topography affects the intensity of rainfall.These shifting phenomenon of other monsoon season in the region are impacting on the variability of rainfall and the onset of monsoons in Southeast Asia and is predicted to delay for 15 days the onset of the monsoon in the future.The variability of monsoon rainfall in the SEA region is observed to be decadal and the frequency and intensity of intermittent flooding of some areas during the monsoon season have serious consequences on the human,financial,infrastructure and food security of the region. | Yen Yi Loo Lawal Billa Ajit Singh | 2015 | Geoscience Frontiers2015,6,6: | 8 |

Recently-published guidelines bring much needed structure to the diagnostic work-up of patients with suspected chronic pancreatitis. In addition, novel diagnostic modalities bring promise for the future. | 4 | Modelling geographic accessibility to Primary Health Care Facilities:combining open data and geospatial analysis显示文摘Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages is the 3rd Sustainable Development Goal(SDG).Inequality in access to health care remains one of the primary challenges in achieving the goal.With the ever-increasing expansion of urban areas and population growth,there is a need to regularly examine the pattern of accessibility of basic amenities across regions,States and urban areas.This study examined geographic access to Primary Health Care Facilities(PHCF)in Nigeria using the combination of open data and geospatial analysis techniques.Thus,showcasing an approach can be replicated across different regions in Sub-Saharan Africa due to issues of information gap.Data on elevation,location of health care facilities,population and network data were utilised.The result shows that PHCF aggregate at certain locations,e.g.major urban agglomerations,and transit route leading to these places.High concentrations are found in the capital city.The average travel time to the nearest PHCF is about 14 min(Standard Deviation±13.30 min)while the maximum is about 2 hours.Pockets of low accessibility areas exist across the Akwa Ibom State in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.There is an indication that most places have good geographic access.Across the 1787 settlements identified in our dataset,98.3%are with good access(<30 min),27 settlements are located in the poor access class(31–60 min),while two settlements are within the very poor access class(>60 min).Geographic access is not the main limiting factor to health care access in the region.Therefore,computation of access to health care should take into consideration other dimensions of accessibility,to create a robust measure which will support effective and efficient health care planning and delivery. | Olanrewaju Lawal Felix E.Anyiam | 2019 | Geo-Spatial Information Science2019,22,3: | 3 |

| 7 | Urogenital schistosomiasis and associated determinant factors among senior high school students in the Dutsin-Ma and Safana Local Government Areas of Katsina State, Nigeria显示文摘Background:Human schistosomiasis is a chronic parasitic disease of poverty caused by the cercariae of digenetic trematodes of the genus Schistosoma.The disease is a major source of morbidity and mortality in 77 low-and middle-income countries in the tropics where 700 million people are at risk.In a bid to provide relevant epidemiological information to boost control of urogenital schistosomiasis at the state level in Nigeria,we conducted this study with the aim of investigating the disease’s prevalence and intensity,and the determinant factors responsible for its endemicity.Methods:Data on risk factors were obtained from a total of 645 students aged 12─25 years using well-designed questionnaires.Samples were collected between 09:45 and 14:00 in universal bottles.Each10μl centrifuged sample was examined for the eggs of S.haematobium using Motic®(Binocular)Light Microscope(model S-10-P)with a x10 objective.Average infection intensity was recorded as number of eggs per 10 ml of urine sample.Survey data were entered into Microsoft Excel 2010 and analyzed using Epi Info™7.Associations among variables were determined using the chi square test and bivariate and multivariate logistic regressions.Results:Prevalence of urogenital schistosomiasis was 30.54%among the study population,with a mean infection intensity of 30.27 eggs/10 ml of urine.Prevalence and average intensity were higher in males(28.37%and 32.21 eggs/10 ml of urine respectively)than in females(2.17%and 5 eggs/10 ml of urine respectively).Water contact activities(χ^(2)=29.031,P=0.0000),sex(male)[χ^(2)=109.82;P<0.0001],location(Dutsin─Ma)[χ^(2)=7.19;P=0.0073],age group 18-20(χ^(2)=4.819,P=0.0281),altitude(531─560 m)[χ^(2)=6.84,p=0.0089],fathers doing other brown─collar jobs(χ^(2)=8.449,P=0.0037)and mothers’occupation(χ^(2)=9.470,P=0.0021)were found to be significantly associated with urogenital schistosomiasis.Boys were six times more likely to be infected with the cercariae of S.haematobium compared to girls[AOR(95%CI):6.34(4.89─8.22)].Conclusions:Dutsin-Ma and Safana were classified as moderate-risk Local Government Areas for urogenital schistosomiasis.The strong association between the disease and mother’s occupation is of utmost importance and suggests a promising control measure:that is,directing health education as well as grassroots mass chemotherapeutic intervention with praziquantel at mothers.A good network including treated pipe-borne water,drainage system,and sewage disposal facilities available should be improved upon.Molluscicides should be provided at highly subsidized rate to help control the disease. | Tolulope Ebenezer Atalabi Umar Lawal Francis Omowonuola Akinluyi | 2016 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1: | 2 |
| 8 | 温室甜瓜自动采摘系统目标检测模型及空间定位研究显示文摘【目的】提高温室甜瓜采摘机器人在复杂光线变化和枝叶遮挡情况下的检测精度,实现检测目标的空间坐标定位。【方法】基于YOLOv3,研究优化不同主干网络,头部、颈部网络结构及边界框损失函数组合对模型检测性能的影响,建立甜瓜严重遮挡下的目标检测网络模型YOLOResNet70,然后将模型与Intel RealSense D435i传感器融合进行目标空间定位。【结果】模型YOLOResNet70采用ResNet70为主干网络,结合SPP (Spatial pyramid pooling)、CIoU (Complete intersection over union)、FPN (Feature pyramid network)以及NMS (Greedy non-maximum suppression)时性能最佳,模型平均精度(AP)达到89.4%,优于Y OLOv3的83.3%和YOLOv5的82%,其检测速度(61.8帧/s)比YOLOv4(54.1帧/s)快14%。【结论】通过对不同光照条件下的遮挡甜瓜图像进行检测测试,表明YOLOResNet70模型鲁棒性良好,并且与Intel RealSense D435i深度传感器融合实现了甜瓜的空间定位坐标,与手工测量结果吻合,为甜瓜采摘机器人目标检测和空间定位提供了理论和模型支持。 | 赵华民 LAWAL Olarewaju 许德芳 | 2022 | 广东农业科学2022,49,3: | 2 |
