| 1 | A new approach to water resources system assessment——set pair analysis method显示文摘Most traditional assessment methods, which have complicated mathematic formulas, are difficult for calculation and application in water resources system assessment. A new approach to water resources system assessment, the set pair analysis method (SPAM), has been proposed based on the principle of set pair analysis (SPA). The basic ideals and steps of SPAM are discussed. The proposed method can take fuzzy property of threshold values for grade standards into full account and avoid determining the discrepancy uncertainty coefficient i or i1, i2, i3, … in SPA. The presented method is simple in concept, convenient to calculate and feasible for application. Two case studies of water resources assessment have been made. | 2 | The first airborne scalar gravimetry system based on SINS/DGPS in China显示文摘China has developed an airborne gravimetry system based on SINS/DGPS named SGA-WZ,the first system in which a strapdown inertial navigation system(SINS)has been used for airborne gravimetry in China.This gravity measurement system consists of a strap-down inertial navigation system and a differential global positioning system(DGPS).In April 2010,a flight test was carried out in Shandong Province of China to test the accuracy of this system.The test was designed to assess the repeatability and accuracy of the system.Two repeated flights and six grid flights were made.The flying altitude was about 400 m.The average flying speed was about 60 m/s,which corresponds to a spatial resolution of 4.8 km when using 160-s cutoff low-pass filter.This paper describes the data processing of the system.The evaluation of the internal precision is based on repeated flights and differences in crossover points.Gravity results in this test from the repeated flight lines show that the repeatability of the repeat lines is 1.6 mGal with a spatial resolution of 4.8 km,and the internal precision of grid flight data is3.2 mGal with a spatial resolution of 4.8 km.There are some systematic errors in the gravity results,which can be modeled using trigonometric function.After the systematic errors are compensated,the precision of grid flight data can be better than1 mGal. | CAI ShaoKun WU MeiPing ZHANG KaiDong CAO JuLiang | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,12: | 12 |
| 3 | Presenilin 2 deficiency facilitates Aβ-induced neuroinflammation and injury by upregulating P2X7 expression显示文摘Accumulating evidence suggests that β-amyloid (Aβ)-induced neuroinflammation plays a prominent and early role in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In this study, we demonstrated that Presenilin 2 (PS2) deficiency facilitates Aβ-induced neuroinflammation and injury by upregulating P2X7 expression both in vitro and in vivo. PS2 knockout mice demonstrated increased cognitive impairments and cerebral injury. PS2 deficiency increased the expression of P2X7 both in neurons and microglial cells.Furthermore, extracellular ATP also increased in both Aβ-treated and untreated PS2 knockout microglial cells. Notably, Aβ-induced classical proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-1α and TNF-α were increased in PS2 knockout microglial cells, suggesting a potential role for PS2 in the regulation of neuroinflammation. The expression of P2X7 clearly increased in PS2 knockdown BV2 cells. Consistent with in vivo data, Aβ-induced IL-1β production was also clearly enhanced in PS2 knockdown BV2 cells. Additionally, expression of the transcription factor Sp1 was increased in PS2 knockdown cells. When we treated PS2 knockdown cells with the specific Sp1 inhibitor MIT, we observed that enhanced P2X7 expression was significantly rescued. | 4 | Comprehensive Assessment of Seawater Quality Based on an Improved Attribute Recognition Model显示文摘The attribute recognition model (ARM) has been widely used to make comprehensive assessment in many engineering fields, such as environment, ecology, and economy. However, large numbers of experiments indicate that the value of weight vector has no relativity to its initial value but depends on the data of Quality Standard and actual samples. In the present study, the ARM is enhanced with the technique of data driving, which means some more groups of data from the Quality Standard are selected with the uniform random method to make the calculation of weight values more rational and more scientific. This improved attribute recognition model (IARM) is applied to a real case of assessment on seawater quality. | 5 | Which Inspection Approach Is Better to Prevent Drug Fraud: Announced or Unannounced?显示文摘In recent years,there are many crimes related drug fraud occuring in China and many experts think that the main cause is that China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA)adopts announced inspection (AI).In order to circumvent this difficulty,CFDA has exploited unannounced inspection (UI)since 2014.In this paper,the authors study the problem of which one performs better, AI or UI.Specifically,the authors consider a supervisor,which decides the inspection approach,inspection strength and punishment to force the firm to put self-inspection effort to meet the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice,and a firm,which produces a drug and decides its self-inspection effort. The authors use game theory to model this problem,characterize the equilibrium policies under AI, and compare the effects of the two approaches on preventing drug fraud under complete and incomplete information.The results show that under the complete information,UI performs better if the firm's technical level and the inspection cost are low and AI performs better otherwise.When the supervisor doesn't know the firm's technical level,if the low technical level is high,AI performs better.Otherwise, UI performs better if the inspection cost is low and AI performs better if the inspection cost is high. | ZHANG Manman ZHANG Juliang CHENG T.C.E. | 7 | The Effect of Unannounced Inspection on Prevention of Drug Fraud显示文摘Alarge number of incidents related to fake/inferior-quality drugs have occurred in China in recent years. In order to reduce drug crimes, the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) has exploited the new supervision approach, i.e., unannounced inspection (UI), since September 2014. However, the effectiveness of UI in driving drug producers to put more effort into meeting the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is yet to be ascertained. In this paper we apply game theory to study the effects of UI on the prevention of drug fraud, drug producers’ profits, and social welfare under scenarios of complete and incomplete information. We show that UI is not always an effective way of supervision. Specifically, if the upper bound on the punishment is not very large, UI can drive the firmto make the largest self-supervision effort only when the firm’s technical level is high and the supervision cost is low. Otherwise, UI cannot drive the firm to make the largest self-supervision effort. Under incomplete information, firms with a high technical level would adopt more self-supervision and make more profit than those with a low technical level. | 8 | A High Precision Comprehensive Evaluation Method for Flood Disaster Loss Based on Improved Genetic Programming显示文摘Precise comprehensive evaluation of flood disaster loss is significant for the prevention and mitigation of flood disasters. Here, one of the difficulties involved is how to establish a model capable of describing the complex relation between the input and output data of the system of flood disaster loss. Genetic programming (GP) solves problems by using ideas from genetic algorithm and generates computer programs automatically. In this study a new method named the evaluation of the grade of flood disaster loss (EGFD) on the basis of improved genetic programming (IGP) is presented (IGP-EGFD). The flood disaster area and the direct economic loss are taken as the evaluation indexes of flood disaster loss. Obviously that the larger the evaluation index value, the larger the corresponding value of the grade of flood disaster loss is. Consequently the IGP code is designed to make the value of the grade of flood disaster be an increasing function of the index value. The result of the application of the IGP-EGFD model to Henan Province shows that a good function expression can be obtained within a bigger searched function space; and the model is of high precision and considerable practical significance. However, large fluctuation of the production level in many firms may be much costly. This paper addresses the coordinating pricing and inventory control problem in a bounded production system with uncertain yield, in which the production level is constrained between a maximum and minimum level in each period and the price can be adjusted dynamically. We show that the optimal policy is the interval base-stock-list-price policy. Also, we study the impact of the production bounds and uncertainty of the yield on the production system. | 10 | An Approximation of the Customer Waiting Time for Online Restaurants Owning Delivery System显示文摘Online restaurants, which receive online orders and deliver food directly to the customer’s residence, are becoming increasingly popular. To be successful, online restaurants need to provide reliable and prompt deliveries. Careful design of the meal preparation and order delivery systems is needed to avoid excessive cust omer waiting time bet ween ordering and delivery. This paper considers the meal preparation and delivery processes simultaneously to approximate average customer waiting time for deliveries. The authors first discuss the system performance with one cook and unit-capacity delivery vehicles, using an M/G/1queue and a GI/G/1queue. Numerical experiments show that our approximation can adequately describe real waiting times. Then, series queues with multiple cooks and multi-capacity delivery vehicles, e.g., an M/G/n queue and a GI/Gn/1 queue, are examined. Results show that except for situations with a large meal preparation time and a small vehicle capacity, compared with the result of simulation, the approximation in this paper is acceptable with a deviation of less than 20%. | 11 | An Improved Markov Chain Model Based on Autocorrelation and Entropy Techniques and Its Application to State Prediction of Water Resources显示文摘According to the relationships among state transition probability matrixes with different step lengths, an improved Markov chain model based on autocorrelation and entropy techniques was introduced. In the improved Markov chain model, the state transition probability matrixes can be adjusted. The steps of the historical state of the event, which was significantly related to the future state of the event, were determined by the autocorrelation technique, and the impact weights of the event historical state on the event future state were determined by the entropy technique. The presented model was applied to predicting annual precipitation and annual runoff states, showing that the improved model is of higher precision than those existing Markov chain models, and the determination of the state transition probability matrixes and the weights is more reasonable. In order to achieve consistency and eliminate the dimensions of fuzzy qualitative and fuzzy quantitative evaluation indexes, to determine the weights of the indexes objectively, and to increase the differences among the comprehensive evaluation index values of water transportation project schemes, a projection pursuit method, named FPRM-PP for short, was developed in this work for selecting the optimal water transportation project scheme based on the fuzzy preference relation matrix.
