| 1 | Effect of Hot Isostatic Pressing Conditions and Cooling Rate on Microstructure and Properties of Ti-6Al-4V Alloy from Atomized Powder显示文摘The effects of temperature and pressure on density, microstructure and mechanical properties of powder compacts during hot isostatic pressing(HIPping) were investigated. Optimized HIPping parameters of temperature range from 900 to 940℃, pressure over 100 MPa and holding time of 3 h, were obtained. Tensile properties after different heat treatments show that both the geometry of samples and cooling rate have a significant influence on mechanical properties. Finite element method was used to predict the temperature field distribution during HIPped sample cooling, and the experimental results are in agreement with simulation prediction. | 2 | VdPKS1 is required for melanin formation and virulence in a cotton wilt pathogen Verticillium dahliae显示文摘Verticillium dahliae is a soil-borne phytopathogenic fungus that causes vascular wilt disease in a broad range of hosts.This pathogen survives for many years in soil in the form of melanized microsclerotia.To investigate the melanin synthesis in V.dahliae,we identified a polyketide synthase gene in V.dahliae,namely VdPKS1.PKS1 is known to involve in the dihydroxynaphthalene melanin synthesis pathway in many fungi.We found that VdPKS1 was required for melanin formation but not for microsclerotial production in V dahliae.The VdPKS1 gene-disruption mutant (vdpksl) formed melanin-deficient albino microsclerotia,which did not affect the fungal colonization in host tissues but significantly reduced the disease severity.Gene transcription analysis in the wild-type and the vdpksl strains suggested that VdPKS1 gene-disruption influenced the expression of a series of genes involved in ethylene biosynthesis,microsclerotial formation and pathogenesis.Our results suggest that the VdPKS1-mediated melanin synthesis is important for virulence and developmental traits of V.dahliae. | Ting Zhang Bosen Zhang Chenlei Hua Pei Meng Sheng Wang Zhirong Chen Yejuan Du Feng Gao Jiafeng Huang | 2017 | Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,8: | 14 |

| 4 | Identification of the surgical indication line for the Denonvilliers’fascia and its anatomy in patients with rectal cancer显示文摘Background:The high rate of urogenital dysfunction after traditional total mesorectal excision(TME)has caused doubts among scholars on the standard fashion of dissection.We have proposed the necessity to preserve the Denonvilliers’fascia in patients with rectal cancer.However,how to accurately locate the Denonvilliers’fascia is unclear.This study aimed to explore anatomical features of the Denonvilliers’fascia by comparing autopsy findings and observations of surgical videos so as to propose a dissection method for the preservation of pelvic autonomic nerves during rectal cancer surgery.Methods:Five adult male cadaver specimens were dissected,and surgical videos of 135 patients who underwent TME for mid-low rectal cancer between January 2009 and February 2019 were reviewed to identify and compare the structure of the Denonvilliers’fascia.Results:The monolayer structure of the Denonvilliers’fascia was observed in 5 male cadaver specimens,and it was located between the rectum,the bottom of the bladder,the seminal vesicles,the vas deferens,and the prostate.The Denonvilliers’fascia was originated from the rectovesical pouch(or rectum-uterus pouch),down to fuse caudally with the rectourethral muscle at the apex of the prostate,and fused to the lateral ligaments on both sides.The fascia was thinner on the midline with a thickness of 1.06±0.10 mm.The crown shape of the Denonvilliers’fascia was slightly triangular,with a height of approximately 5.42±0.16 cm at midline.Nerves were more densely distributed in front of the Denonvilliers’fascia than behind,especially on both sides of it.Under laparoscopic view,the Denonvilliers’fascia was originated at the lowest point of the rectovesical pouch(or rectum-uterus pouch),with a thickened white line which was a good mark for identifying the Denonvilliers’fascia.Conclusion:Identification of the surgical indication line for the Denonvilliers’fascia could help us identify the Denonvilliers’fascia,and it would improve our ability to protect the pelvic autonomic function of patients undergoing TME for rectal cancer. | Jianglong Huang Jing Liu Jiafeng Fang Zongheng Zeng Bo Wei Tufeng Chen Hongbo Wei | 2020 | Cancer Communications2020,40,1: | 10 |

| 7 | A Ka-band Solid-state Transmitter Cloud Radar and Data Merging Algorithm for Its Measurements显示文摘This study concerns a Ka-band solid-state transmitter cloud radar, made in China, which can operate in three different work modes, with different pulse widths, and coherent and incoherent integration numbers, to meet the requirements for cloud remote sensing over the Tibetan Plateau. Specifically, the design of the three operational modes of the radar(i.e., boundary mode M1, cirrus mode M2, and precipitation mode M3) is introduced. Also, a cloud radar data merging algorithm for the three modes is proposed. Using one month's continuous measurements during summertime at Naqu on the Tibetan Plateau,we analyzed the consistency between the cloud radar measurements of the three modes. The number of occurrences of radar detections of hydrometeors and the percentage contributions of the different modes' data to the merged data were estimated.The performance of the merging algorithm was evaluated. The results indicated that the minimum detectable reflectivity for each mode was consistent with theoretical results. Merged data provided measurements with a minimum reflectivity of -35 dBZ at the height of 5 km, and obtained information above the height of 0.2 km. Measurements of radial velocity by the three operational modes agreed very well, and systematic errors in measurements of reflectivity were less than 2 dB. However,large discrepancies existed in the measurements of the linear depolarization ratio taken from the different operational modes.The percentage of radar detections of hydrometeors in mid- and high-level clouds increased by 60% through application of pulse compression techniques. | 9 | Temperature-gradient induced microstructure evolution in heat-affected zone of electron beam welded Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy显示文摘The heat-affected zone(HAZ) of electron beam welded(EBW) joint normally undergoes a unique heat-treating process consisting of rapid temperature rising and dropping stages, resulting in temperature-gradient in HAZ as a function of the distance to fusion zone(FZ). In the current work,microstructure, elements distribution and crystallographic orientation of three parts(near base material(BM) zone, mid-HAZ and near-FZ) in the HAZ of Ti-6Al-4V alloy were systematically investigated. The microstructure observation revealed that the microstructural variation from near-BM to near-FZ included the reduction of primary α(αp) grains, the increase of transformed β structure(βt) and the formation of various α structures. The rim-α, dendritic α and abnormal secondary α(αs) colonies formed in the mid-HAZ, while the 'ghost' structures grew in the near-FZ respectively. The electron probe microanalyzer(EPMA) and electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD) technologies were employed to evaluate the elements diffusion and texture evolution during the unique thermal process of welding. The formation of the various α structures in the HAZ were discussed based on the EPMA and EBSD results. We construct the universal enveloping algebra of A explicitly, which is denoted by A^(ue). We show that A^(ue) has a natural DG algebra structure and it satisfies certain universal property. As a consequence of the universal property, it is proved that the category of DG Poisson modules over A is isomorphic to the category of DG modules over A^(ue). Furthermore, we prove that the notion of universal enveloping algebra A^(ue) is well-behaved under opposite algebra and tensor product of DG Poisson algebras. | 11 | Identification of QTL and candidate genes involved in early seedling growth in rice via high-density genetic mapping and RNA-seq显示文摘Early seedling vigor(ESV)is a major breeding target in rice,especially under direct seeding.To identify quantitative trait locus(QTL)affecting ESV,a recombinant inbred line population derived from a cross between 02428 and YZX,two cultivars differing in vigor during early seedling growth,was used for QTL analysis.Nine traits associated with ESV were examined using a high-density map.Of 16 additive loci identified,three were detected in two generations and thus considered stable.Four epistatic interactions were detected,one of which was repeated in two generations.Further analysis of the pyramiding effect of the three stable QTL showed that the phenotypic value could be effectively improved with an increasing number of QTL.These results were combined with results from our previous QTL analysis of the germination index.The lines G58 and G182 combined all the favourable alleles of all three stable QTL for ESV and three QTL for germination speed.These two lines showed rapid germination and strong ESV.A total of 37 candidate differentially expressed genes were obtained from the regions of the three stable QTL by analysis of the dynamic transcriptomic expression profile during the seedling growth period of the two parents.The QTL are targets for ESV breeding and the candidate genes await functional validation.This study provides a theoretical basis and a genetic resource for the breeding of directseeded rice. | Jing Yang Zhenhua Guo Lixin Luo Qiaoli Gao Wuming Xiao Jiafeng Wang Hui Wang Zhiqiang Chen Tao Guo | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,2: | 6 |
| 12 | The influence of surface roughness on cloud cavitation flow around hydrofoils显示文摘The aim of this study is to investigate experimentally the effect of surface roughness on cloud cavitation around Clark-Y hydrofoils. High-speed video and particle image velocimetry(PIV) were used to obtain cavitation patterns images(Prog. Aerosp. Sci. 37: 551–581, 2001), as well as velocity and vorticity fields. Results are presented for cloud cavitating conditions around a Clark-Y hydrofoil fixed at angle of attack of α = 8?for moderate Reynolds number of Re = 5.6 × 10~5. The results show that roughness had a great influence on the pattern, velocity and vorticity distribution of cloud cavitation. For cavitating flow around a smooth hydrofoil(A) and a rough hydrofoil(B), cloud cavitation occurred in the form of finger-like cavities and attached subulate cavities, respectively. The period of cloud cavitation around hydrofoil A was shorter than for hydrofoil B.Surface roughness had a great influence on the process of cloud cavitation. The development of cloud cavitation around hydrofoil A consisted of two stages:(1) Attached cavities developed along the surface to the trailing edge;(2) A reentrant jet developed, resulting in shedding and collapse of cluster bubbles or vortex structure. Meanwhile, its development for hydrofoil B included three stages:(1) Attached cavities developed along the surface to the trailing edge, with accumulation and rotation of bubbles at the trailing edge of the hydrofoil affecting the flow field;(2) Development of a reentrant jet resulted in the first shedding of cavities. Interaction and movement of flows from the pressure side and suction side brought liquid water from the pressure side to the suction side of the hydrofoil, finally forming a reentrant jet. The jet kept moving along the surface to the leading edge of the hydrofoil, resulting in large-scale shedding of cloud bubbles. | 16 | A Naturalness-Preserved Low-Light Enhancement Algorithm for Intelligent Analysis显示文摘Images/videos captured in low-light conditions often present low luminance and contrast.Although the existing low-light enhancement algorithms can improve the subjective perception, color distortion and over-enhancement are extremely obvious, which will disturb the subsequent intelligent analysis. Therefore,a naturalness-preserved low-light enhancement algorithm for intelligent analysis is proposed in this paper. An enhancement model is established in RGB color space.Images of ColorChecker color chart are captured under a series of light conditions. To preserve the naturalness,the factors of the proposed enhancement model are estimated by the images captured in practical illumination environment. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can produce natural enhanced results and improve the performance of vehicle license plate localization and skin color detection compared to the existing algorithms. | 18 | Weak signal detection method based on Duffing oscillator with adjustable frequency显示文摘In this paper, we present a new system of weak signal detection based on Duffing oscillator with adjustable frequency, in which the frequency of periodic driving force signal can be fixed at a certain value and make the system to be in a same critical chaotic state. Therefore, by adjusting an adjustable signal frequency,the detection system we propose can detect signals of different frequencies in the same critical chaotic state, and overcome the limitation of the previous system which can only detect a signal of a specific frequency in a critical chaotic state. Meanwhile, we analyzed its system performance according to simulation and designed the circuit of the system. Based on the results of simulation and actual condition, we find the system is effective for weak signal detection. In these methods, the combination coefficients of the LR image are directly used to estimate the High resolution(HR) image. However, experimental results show that the LR-LLE coefficients are different from the corresponding HR-LLE coefficients. To bridge the gap between LR and HR images, a novel LLEbased face hallucination algorithm is proposed. An LLE coefficients prior model is introduced to reduce the coefficient errors. In this prior model, the LLE coefficients of the interpolated LR face image are used to constraint the reconstructed coefficients. | 20 | Designing high-strength titanium alloy using pseudo-spinodal mechanism through diffusion multiple experiment and CALPHAD calculation显示文摘This study used the pseudo-spinodal mechanism to obtain the ultrafineαphase for designing highstrength titanium alloy.Diffusion multiple experiments were designed to find the composition range of TM-x Mo-y V alloy(TM:Ti-4.5 Al-2 Cr-2.5 Nb-2 Zr-1 Sn)for obtaining ultrafineαphase.CALPHAD results confirm that when the alloy composition is located near the intersection of theαandβphase free energy curves,the alloy will undergo pseudo-spinodal transformation and obtain the ultrafineαphase.The designed TM-6 Mo-3 V alloy has a yield strength of 1411 MPa and an elongation of 6.5%.The strength of the alloy depends on the thickness,fraction of theαphase and the solid solution strengthening effect of the alloying elements.The deformation mechanism of the alloy is the dislocation slip of theαandβphases and the twin deformation of theαphase.The large number ofα/βinterfaces produced by the fineαphase is the main reason for limiting the ductility of the alloy.The use of the pseudo-spinodal mechanism combined with diffusion multiple experiments and CALPHAD is an effective method for designing high-strength titanium alloys. | Di Wu Libin Liu Lijun Zeng Wenguang Zhu Wanlin Wang Xiaoyong Zhang Junfeng Hou Baoliang Liu Jiafeng Lei Kechao Zhou | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,15: | 3 |
