| 1 | 加氧灌溉对菠萝根区土壤呼吸和生理特性的影响显示文摘通过大田试验,研究了加氧灌溉对菠萝根区土壤呼吸作用、生理特性、生物量积累、果实产量、品质和水分利用效率的影响.采用Mazeei(空气注射器)给地下灌溉系统加入空气,设计了加氧和不加氧灌溉2种处理方式,7次重复.设计滴头埋深10 cm.研究表明,与对照相比,菠萝根区30 cm以内土壤水分质量分数和CO2质量分数没有明显差异,但是加氧灌溉使得土壤呼吸增加了100%;菠萝的果实鲜重、生物量鲜重、干物质重和收获指数明显增大,差异有统计学意义(p≤0.05);加氧灌溉提高了菠萝的水分生产率,与对照相比增加了17.2%;同时,加氧灌溉明显改善了菠萝单果尺寸和重量,使得单果重量增加了17.3%,田间产量增加了4.3%,增加了果实的糖质量分数,减少了果实的透明物.研究结果为加氧灌溉技术的推广应用提供了理论依据. | 陈新明 Jay Dhungel Surya Bhattarai Manouchehr Tobrabi Dayid J Midmore | 2010 | 排灌机械工程学报2010,28,6: | 43 |

| 3 | Juvenile hominoid cranium from the terminal Miocene of Yunnan,China显示文摘Fossil apes are known from several late Miocene localities in Yunnan Province,southwestern China,principally from Shihuiba(Lufeng)and the Yuanmou Basin,and represent three species of Lufengpithecus.They mostly comprise large samples of isolated teeth,but there are also several partial or complete adult crania from Shihuiba and a single juvenile cranium from Yuanmou.Here we describe a new,relatively complete and largely undistorted juvenile cranium from the terminal Miocene locality of Shuitangba,also in Yunnan.It is only the second ape juvenile cranium recovered from the Miocene of Eurasia and it is provisionally assigned to the species present at Shihuiba,Lufengpithecus lufengensis.Lufengpithecus has most often been linked to the extant orangutan,Pongo pygmaeus,but recent studies of the crania from Shihuiba and Yuanmou have demonstrated that this is unlikely.The new cranium reinforces the view that Lufengpithecus represents a distinct,late surviving lineage of large apes in the late Miocene of East Asia that does not appear to be closely affiliated with any extant ape lineage.It substantially increases knowledge of cranial morphology in Lufengpithecus and demonstrates that species of this genus represent a morphologically diverse radiation of apes,which is consistent with the dynamic tectonic and biotic milieu of southwestern China in the late Miocene. | JI XuePing JABLONSKI Nina G SU Denise F DENG ChengLong FLYNN Lawrence J YOU YouShan KELLEY Jay | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,31: | 8 |
| 4 | Cerebrovascular reactivity mapping for brain tumor presurgical planning显示文摘This article provides a review of Blood Oxygen Level Dependent functional magnetic resonance imaging(BOLD fMRI)applications for presurgical mapping in patients with brain tumors who are being considered for lesion resection.Initially,the physical principle of the BOLD effect is discussed,followed by a general overview of the aims of presurgical planning.Subsequently,a review of sensorimotor,language and visual paradigms that are typically utilized in clinical fMRI is provided,followed by a brief description of studies demonstrating the clinical impact of preoperative BOLD fMRI.After this thorough introduction to presurgical fMRI,a detailed explanation of the phenomenon of neurovascular uncoupling(NVU),a major limitation of fMRI,is provided,followed by a discussion of the different approaches taken for BOLD cerebrovascular reactivity(CVR)mapping,which is an effective method of detecting NVU.We then include one clinical case which demonstrates the value of CVR mapping in clinical preoperative fMRI interpretation.The paper then concludes with a brief review of applications of CVR mapping other than for presurgical mapping. | Domenico Zaca Jun Hua Jay J Pillai | 2011 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,2,7: | 7 |
| 5 | 腰部的脊骨的磁性的回声成像上的过渡 lumbosacral 解剖的预言显示文摘 AIM:To evaluate two simple angle measurements for predicting lumbosacral transitional vertebra(LSTV) in magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) studies of the spine.METHODS:The lumbar spine MRI studies of 50 subjects with LSTV and 50 subjects with normal lumbosacral anatomy were retrospectively evaluated.In each study,the mid-sagittal T2-weighted image was used to measure the angle formed by a line parallel to the superior surface of the sacrum and a line perpendicular to the axis of the scan table(A-angle),as well as the angle formed by a line parallel to the superior endplate of the L3 vertebra and a line parallel to the superior surface of the sacrum(B-angle).RESULTS:The total study population consisted of 100 subjects(46 males,54 females,51 ± 16 years old).There were no differences in age and sex between the two groups.Both A-angle and B-angle were significantly increased in subjects with LSTV compared to controls(P < 0.05).The optimal cut-off values of A-angle and B-angle for the prediction of LSTV were 39.8°(sensitivity = 80%,specificity = 80%,accuracy = 83%;95% confidence interval = 74%-89%,P = 0.0001) and 35.9°(sensitivity = 80%,specificity = 54%,accuracy = 69%;95% confidence interval = 59%-78%,P = 0.0005),respectively.CONCLUSION:On sagittal MR images of the lumbar spine,an increased A-angle and/or B-angle should alert the radiologist to the presence of LSTV. | Majid Chalian Theodoros Soldatos John A Carrino Alan J Belzberg Jay Khanna Avneesh Chhabra | 2012 | World Journal of Radiology2012,4,3: | 5 |
| 6 | Clinical utility of cerebrovascular reactivity mapping in patients with low grade gliomas显示文摘AIM:To evaluate neurovascular uncoupling(NVU)associated with low grade gliomas(LGG)using blood oxygen level dependent(BOLD)cerebrovascular reactivity mapping.METHODS:Seven patients with low grade gliomas referred by neurosurgeons for presurgical mapping were included in this pilot study.Cerebrovascular reactivity(CVR)mapping was performed by acquiring BOLD images while patients performed a block-design breath-hold(BH)hypercapnia task.CVR mapping was expressed as BOLD percentage signal change(PSC)from baseline associated with performance of the BH hypercapnia task.Standard T2*Dynamic Susceptibility Contrast perfusion imaging was performed and relative cerebral blood volume(rCBV)and relative cerebral blood flow(rCBF)maps were generated.Structural T1 weighted MR images were also acquired.A correlation analysis between intratumoral normalized(via ratio with contralateral homologous regions)BOLD BH PSC[referred to as(nCVR)]and intratumoral normalized resting state rCBV(rCBF)values(i.e.,nCBV and nCBF,respectively)was performed.RESULTS:No significant correlation was seen between the normalized BOLD BH PSC(i.e.,nCBV)and nCBV or nCBF.However,the average nCVR(median=0.50,z=-2.28,P=0.01)was significantly less than 1.0,indicating abnormally reduced vascular responses in the tumor regions relative to normal contralesional homologous regions,whereas the average nCBV(median=0.94,z=-0.92,P=0.375)and nCBF(median=0.93,z=-1.16,P=0.25)were not significantly higher or lower than 1.0,indicating iso-perfusion in the tumor regions relative to normal contralesional homologous regions.These findings suggest that in LGG,hyperperfusion that is seen in high grade gliomas is not present,but,nevertheless,abnormally decreased regional CVR is present within and adjacent to LGG.Since the patients all demonstrated at least some residual function attributable to the cortical regions of impaired CVR,but were incapable of producing a BOLD response in these regions regardless of the tasks performed,such regionally decreased CVR is indicative of NVU.The low nCVR ratios indicate high prevalence of NVU in this LGG cohort,which is an important consideration in the interpretation of clinical presurgical mapping with functional magnetic resonance(MR)imaging.CONCLUSION:Our preliminary study shows that BH CVR mapping is clinically feasible and demonstrates an unexpectedly high prevalence of NVU in patients with LGG. | Jay J Pillai Domenico Zacá | 2011 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,2,12: | 4 |
| 7 | Continuous internal counterpulsation as a bridge to recovery in acute and chronic heart failure显示文摘Cardiac recovery from cardiogenic shock(CS) and end-stage chronic heart failure(HF) remains anoften insurmountable therapeutic challenge. The counterpulsation technique exerts numerous beneficial effects on systemic hemodynamics and left ventricular mechanoenergetics, rendering it attractive for promoting myocardial recovery in both acute and chronic HF. Although a recent clinical trial has questioned the clinical effectiveness of short-term hemodynamic support with intra-aortic balloon pump(IABP, the main representative of the counterpulsation technique) in CS complicating myocardial infarction, the issue remains open to further investigation. Moreover, preliminary data suggest that long-term IABP support in patients with end-stage HF is safe and may mediate recovery of left- or/and right-sided cardiac function, facilitating long-term weaning from mechanical support or enabling the application of other permanent, life-saving solutions.
