Ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of novel relaxor ferroelectric single crystals PMNT显示文摘Relaxor ferroelectric single crystals PMNT with the size of φ40 mm×80 mm have been grown by a modified Bridgman method and their ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties have been characterized. The properties varied with the compositions and cut types. On the (001) cut, PMNT76/24 single crystals exhibited a dielectric constant ε of about 3 400, a dielectric loss of tanδ <0.7%, a piezoelectric constant d33 of 980 pC/N, an electromechanical coupling factor kt of 0.55 and Tc of about 110℃. whereas the properties of PMNT67/33 single crystals on (001) cut were betler: e of about 5 300, tan5 <0.6%, d33 up to 3 000 pC/N, kt 0.64, K33 0.93 and Tc of about 150℃. The piezoelectric properties on other cuts such as (110) and (111) were much lower than those on the (001) cut. The rhombohedral PMNT crystals grown by this method showed more excellent piezoelectric properties than those grown by high temperature solution method and higher value of kt than the rhombohedral PZNT single crystals. it has also | XU Guisheng LUO Haosu WANG Pingchu XU Haiqing YIN Zhiwen | 2000 | Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,6: | 10
Growth units model of anion coordination-polyhedra and its application to crystal growth显示文摘Growth units model of anion coordination-polyhedra ACP model emphasizes the influence of intrinsic structure of crstal upon the crystal growth and the importance of the external conditions on which crystals grow. The ACP model is used to analyze some problems in crystal growth, such as the formation of dendrite in the crystal structure, growth habit of polar crystal, and formation of allomerism and polymorphism. | ZHANG Xuehua LUO Haosu ZHONG Weizhuo | 2004 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2004,47,2: | 7
Optimization of cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvester with a fixed resonance frequency显示文摘Piezoelectric energy harvesting is widely used to scavenge vibration energy in the environment. For some vibration sources with fixed frequency, cantilevered harvester can generate the energy effectively,so the optimization theory for cantilevered harvester in such an application is needed. In this article,we present the theoretical and experimental studies of the cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvester with a fixed resonance frequency. An analytical model based on energy method is used to estimate the open-circuit voltage and generated energy.Considering that the harvester may be subjected to the static force or steady-state sinusoidal vibration excitation, static and dynamic analysis is performed for device structure to achieve efficient energy. In the analysis, the effects of geometrical dimension on the energy harvesting performance are discussed comprehensively.Eventually,a prototype is designed and fabricated using(1-x)Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-xPbTiO3(PMN-PT)single crystal with ultrahigh piezoelectric properties and coupling factor.Performances of the cantilever with different clamped length are evaluated under sinusoidal vibration excitation, proving the good consistency between experimental results and theoretical prediction. The established analysis can provide useful guidelines for the structure design of cantilevered piezoelectric energy harvester with a fixed resonance frequency. | LIANG Zhu XU ChunDong REN Bo DI WenNing LI Long LUO HaoSu CHEN Zhen SU Jun | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,6: | 6
Magnetoelectric and converse magnetoelectric responses in Tb_xDy_(1-x)Fe_(2-y) alloy & Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))_(1-x)Ti_xO_3 crystal laminated composites显示文摘Measured results of magnetoelectric (ME) and converse magnetoelectric (CME) effects of TbxDy1-xFe2-y/ Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)(1-x)TixO3/TbxDy1-xFe2-y (TD/PMNT/TD) and PMNT/TD/PMNT laminated composites are pre- sented. ME effect was determined by measuring laminate voltage output under a Helmholtz-gener- ated AC field biased by a DC field (0―1 kOe) (1 Oe = 79.58 A/m). The CME effect was measured by re- cording the voltage induced in a solenoid encompassing the ME sample while exposed to a DC bias field and PMNT layer driven by a 10 V AC source. The ME and CME responses in the two laminated structure are linear. The highest values of ME coefficients in TD/PMNT/TD and PMNT/TD/PMNT com- posites are 384 mV/Oe and 158 mV/Oe, respectively, while the highest values of CME coefficients in the two composites are 118 mG/V and 162 mG/V (1 G=10-4 T), respectively. | JIA YanMin LUO HaoSu OR Siu Wing WANG YaoJin CHAN Helen L W | 2008 | Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,14: | 3
Bio-inspired flexible vibration visualization sensor based on piezo-electrochromic effect显示文摘Monitoring structural vibration can provide quantitative information for both structural health evaluations and early-warning maintenance. The most classic vibration-based structural health monitoring is equipped with piezoelectric accelerometers, which is expensive and inconvenient due to cumbersome and time-consuming sensor installation and high power-consumptive data acquisition systems. One other main challenge with these systems is the inherent limitations for multi-point monitoring in critical elements with curvature due to their non-conformability.Here,inspired by the chameleon,we report a cost-effective,flexible and conformal,self-powered vibration sensor based on elasto-electro-chemical synergistic effect of piezoelectricity and electrochromism. The sensor can provide not only in-situ visualization, but also ex-situ recording of structural vibration due to the non-volatile color memory effect of electrochromism. The passive sensor system is composed of two distinct electronic components d ternary Pb(In1/2Nb1/2)O_(3)ePb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O_(3)ePbTiO_(3)piezoelectric single crystal ribbon sensors and a solid-state tungsten trioxide electrochromic indicator driven by vibration-induced voltage generated by the piezoelectric ribbons. The proposed piezo-electrochromic based passive non-volatile visualization sensor may find diverse applications in structural health monitoring, smart wallpapers, and medical injury rehabilitation. | Xuan Chen Laihui Luo Zhou Zeng Jie Jiao Mudassar Shehzad Guoliang Yuan Haosu Luo Yaojin Wang | 2020 | Journal of Materiomics2020,6,4: | 2

Polar Growth Habit of KABO Crystal显示文摘The polar growth habit of KABO crystal was discussed by the growth-units model of anionic coordination-polyhedra (ACP), and the relationship between stabilities of incorporation of those growth-units into various group faces and their corresponding morphologies was studied. It is put forward that the growth interface of crystal will be concave when negative plane is used as growth interface. Concave growth interface is very unfavorable for the quality of the crystal, because it is unsuitable for the transfer of the latent heat and impurities released during the deposition. | Zhang Xuehua Luo Haosu Zhong Weizhuo | 2006 | Journal of Rare Earths2006,24,z1: | 1

Ferroelectric phase transition in relaxor ferroelectric single crystals 0.76PMN-0.24PT显示文摘The features of the single crystals 0.76PMN-0.24PT in dielectric, ferroelectric, pyroelectric properties and domain structures indicate that they are located between typical ferroelectrics and normal ones. The unpoled crystals present a transitional domain configuration between microdomains and typical macrodomains while the crystals on (001) cuts undergo field-induced phase transition under poling, showing two special temperature points Td and Tm during the succedent heating procedure. The dielectric constant starts to decrease drastically at Td during cooling, or the transformation from induced macrodomain to transitional domain takes place at Td during heating. Ferroelectric-paraelectric phase transition or depolarization continues within the whole temperature range of Td-Tm, where ferroelectric phase in the form of transitional macrodomains coexists with paraelectric phase. Then the crystals macroscopically transoform into paraelectric phase containing ferroelectric microdomains at a temperature | XU Guisheng LUO Haosu WANG Pingchu Ql Zhenyi YIN Zhiwen | 2000 | Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,15: | 1
