1Astragalus polysaccharide enhances immunity and inhibits H9N2 avian influenza virus in vitro and in vivo显示文摘This study investigated the humoral immunization of Astragalus polysaccharide(APS) against H9N2 avian influenza virus(H9N2 AIV) infection in chickens. The effects of APS treatment on H9N2 infection was evaluated by an MTT [3(4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 3-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide] assay and analysis of MHC and cytokine mRNA expression. The effect on lymphocyte and serum antibody titers in vivo was also investigated. IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, LITAF, IL-12 and antibody titers to H9N2 AIV were enhanced in the first week after APS treatment. 2Diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced ultrasound and enhanced magnetic resonance for breast nodules显示文摘In the current study, we sought to evaluate the diagnostic efficacies of conventional ultrasound(US), contrastenhanced US(CEUS), combined US and CEUS and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) in detecting focal solid breast lesions. Totally 117 patients with 120 BI-RADS category 4A-5 breast lesions were evaluated by conventional US and CEUS, and MRI, respectively. SonoVue was used as contrast agent in CEUS and injected as an intravenous bolus; nodule scan was performed 4 minutes after bolus injection. A specific sonographic quantification software was used to obtain color-coded maps of perfusion parameters for the investigated lesion, namely the time-intensity curve.The pattern of contrast enhancement and related indexes regarding the time-intensity curve were used to describe the lesions, comparatively with pathological results. Histopathologic examination revealed 46 benign and 74 malignant lesions. Sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of US in detecting malignant breast lesions were 90.14%, 95.92%, and 92.52%, respectively. Meanwhile, CE-MRI showed sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of 88.73%, 95.92%, and91.67%, respectively. The area under the ROC curve for combined US and CEUS in discriminating benign from malignant breast lesions was 0.936, while that of MRI was 0.923, with no significant difference between them, as well as among groups. The time-intensity curve of malignant hypervascular fibroadenoma and papillary lesions mostly showed a fast-in/fast-out pattern, with no good correlation between them(kappa <0.20). 3Fault plane parameters of Tancheng M81/2 earthquake on the basis of present-day seismological data显示文摘The great Tancheng earthquake of M81/2 occurred in 1668 was the largest seismic event ever recorded in history in eastern China.This study determines the fault geometry of this earthquake by inverting seismological data of present-day moderate-small earthquakes in the focal area.We relocated those earthquakes with the double-difference method and found focal mechanism solutions using gird test method.The inversion results are as follows:the strike is 21.6°,the dip angle is 89.5°,the slip angle is 170°,the fault length is about 160 km,the lower-boundary depth is about 32 km and the buried depth of upper boundary is about 4 km.This shows that the seismic fault is a NNE-trending upright right-lateral strike-slip fault and has cut through the crust.Moreover,the surface seismic fault,intensity distribution of the earthquake,earthquake-depth distribution and seismic-wave velocity profile in the focal area all verified our study result.Cuiying Zhou Guiling Diao Jie Geng Yonghong Li Ping Xu Xinliang Hu Xiangdong Feng 2010Earthquake Science2010,23,6:7
4Linkage map and QTL mapping of red flesh locus in apple using a R1R1×R6R6 population显示文摘The red flesh in apple fruit is a desired trait by consumers and it is associated to the anthocyanin content,which is mainly controlled by MdMYB10 with a R6 promoter.In this study,a high-density linkage group was constructed using the‘Fuji’x‘Red3’population which contained homozygous alleles R1R1 and R6R6,respectively.The linkage group consists of 7630 SNPs along 17 linkage groups,spanning 2270.21 cM,with an average density of 0.30 cM permarker.The cyanidin-3-galactoside concentration was used as the phenotypic data in QTL analysis.Moreover,one QTL peak which was flaked by two markers,marker2187260 to marker2173766,with LOD scores of 4.49 was detected.This QTL ranged from 0 to 40.79 cM on the top of linkage group(LG16).In addition one candidate molecular marker(marker2175442)in this QTL was identified,which was significant correlated with the flesh cyanidin-3-galactoside concentration.These genetic findings enrich the breeding basis of fruit flesh coloration in apple.Chengquan Yang Guangya Sha Tao Wei Baiquan Ma Cuiying Li Pengmin Li Yangjun Zou Lingfei Xu Fengwang Ma 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,5:4
5Genome-wide identification of droughtresponsive microRNAs in two sets of Malus from interspecific hybrid progenies显示文摘Drought stress can negatively impact apple fruit quality and yield.Apple microRNAs(miRNAs)participate in apple tree and fruit development,as well as in biotic stress tolerance;however,it is largely unknown whether these molecules are involved in the drought response.To identify drought-responsive miRNAs in Malus,we first examined the drought stress tolerance of ten F1 progenies of R3(M.×domestica)×M.sieversii.We performed Illumina sequencing on pooled total RNA from both drought-tolerant and drought-sensitive plants.The sequencing results identified a total of 206 known miRNAs and 253 candidate novel miRNAs from drought-tolerant plants and drought-sensitive plants under control or drought conditions.We identified 67 miRNAs that were differentially expressed in drought-tolerant plants compared with drought-sensitive plants under drought conditions.Under drought stress,61 and 35 miRNAs were differentially expressed in drought-tolerant and drought-sensitive plants,respectively.We determined the expression levels of seven out of eight miRNAs by stem-loop qPCR analysis.We also predicted the target genes of all differentially expressed miRNAs and identified the expression of some genes.Gene Ontology analyses indicated that the target genes were mainly involved in stimulus response and cellular and metabolic processes.Finally,we confirmed roles of two miRNAs in apple response to mannitol.Our results reveal candidate miRNAs and their associated mRNAs that could be targeted for improving drought tolerance in Malus species,thus providing a foundation for understanding the molecular networks involved in the response of apple trees to drought stress.Chundong Niu Haiyan Li Lijuan Jiang Mingjia Yan Cuiying Li Dali Geng Yinpeng Xie Yan Yan Xiaoxia Shen Pengxiang Chen Jun Dong Fengwang Ma Qingmei Guan 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:2
6Review of drought impacts on carbon cycling in grassland ecosystems显示文摘Grasslands play a key role in both carbon and water cycles.In semi-arid and arid grassland areas,the frequency and intensity of droughts are increasing.However,the influence of a drought on grassland carbon cycling is still unclear.In this paper,the relationship between drought and grassland carbon cycling is described from the perspective of drought intensity,frequency,duration,and timing.Based on a large amount of literature,we determined that drought is one of the most prominent threats to grassland carbon cycling,although the impacts of different drought conditions are uncertain.The effects of a drought on grassland carbon cycling are more or less altered by drought-induced disturbances,whether individually or in combination.Additionally,a new conceptual model is proposed to better explain the mechanism of droughts on grassland carbon cycling.At present,evaluations of the effects of droughts on grassland carbon cycling are mainly qualitative.A data fusion model is indispensable for evaluating the fate of carbon cycling in a sustainable grassland system facing global change.In the future,multi-source data and models,based on the development of single and multiple disturbance experiments at the ecosystem level,can be utilized to systematically evaluate drought impacts on grassland carbon cycling at different timescales.Furthermore,more advanced models should be developed to address extreme drought events and their consequences on energy,water,and carbon cycling.Tianjie LEI Jie FENG Cuiying ZHENG Shuguang LI Yang WANG Zhitao WU Jingxuan LU Guangyuan KAN Changliang SHAO Jinsheng JIA Hui CHENG 2020Frontiers of Earth Science2020,14,2:2

11Stoichiometric evolutions of PH3 under high pressure:implication for high-Tc superconducting hydrides显示文摘The superconductivity of hydrides under high pressure has attracted a great deal of attention since the recent observation of the superconducting transition at 203 K in strongly compressed H2S.It has been realized that the stoichiometry of hydrides might change under high pressure,which is crucial in understanding the superconducting mechanism.In this study,PH3 was studied to understand its superconducting transition and stoichiometry under high pressure using Raman,IR and X-ray diffraction measurements,as well as theoretical calculations.PH3 is stable below 11.7 GPa and then it starts to dehydrogenate through two dimerization processes at room temperature and pressures up to 25 GPa.Two resulting phosphorus hydrides,P2H4 and P4H6,were verified experimentally and can be recovered to ambient pressure.Under further compression above 35 GPa,the P4H6 directly decomposed into elemental phosphorus.Low temperature can greatly hinder polymerization/decomposition under high pressure and retains P4H6 up to at least 205 GPa.The superconductivity transition temperature of P4H6 is predicted to be 67 K at 200 GPa,which agrees with the reported result,suggesting that it might be responsible for superconductivity at higher pressures.Our results clearly show that P2H4 and P4H6 are the only stable P–H compounds between PH3 and elemental phosphorus,which is helpful for shedding light on the superconducting mechanism.Ye Yuan Yinwei Li Guoyong Fang Guangtao Liu Cuiying Pei Xin Li Haiyan Zheng Ke Yang Lin Wang 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:1
