| 2 | THE EFFECTS OF RADIATION STRESS ON WAVE HEIGHTS AND SEA LEVEL IN THE INTERACTION OF COUPLED WAVE-TIDE-SURGE IN THE COASTAL AREA显示文摘Based on coastal high resolution (2′×2′) coupled wave tide surge interaction numerical model, the effects of radiation stress on wave heights and sea level in the coastal area of Huanghe Delta were studied. By comparisons of simulated and measured wave heights and sea level for two mediately strong weather cases, it is demonstrated that the results simulated by coupled wave tide surge model are closer to the measured and particularly in excellent agreement in the extreme values of the wave heights and set up. This study shows that the radiation stress can increase the wave heights maximally to 67cm and sea level to 40cm. It is also found that there are areas of over 50cm wave height increase and an area of over 20cm sea level increase in the Huanghe Delta coastal area, and this find may be very important in engineering. | 3 | Orthogonal Test Design for Optimization of the Extraction of Flavonid from the Fructus Gardeniae显示文摘Objective It is imperative to provide some consistent experimental results for the extraction of flavonid from Fructus Gardeniae.Methods The key extraction parameters that influenced the yield of flavonid from Fructus Gardeniae were optimized by employing an orthogonal experiment [L9(3)4],including the ratio of buffer solution (Na2B4O7·10H2O) to raw material,concentration of Fructus Gardeniae in extracting solution,extraction time and pH of buffer solution.An UV/Vis detector was used to perform the qualitative and quantitative analyses of the extracted flavonid with the using of the standard sample.Results The maximum extraction yield of the crude extract was 5.0533 (mg/g) after 20 min when the mass ratio of Na2B4O7·10H2O to raw material was 0.4%,the concentration of Fructus Gardeniae in the extraction solution was 1/12 (g/mL),and pH of buffer solution was 4.5.The positive reactions to the Molish and HCl‐Mg tests suggested that the extracted compound was flavonoid,and FTIR measurements also identified the presence of flavonoid in the extracts.Conclusion This work is expected to provide a basis for further research,development,and utilization of Fructus gardenia in flavonid extraction. | CAI Ding Jian SHU Qing XU Bao Quan PENG Li Mei HE Yan | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,6: | 12 |

| 11 | The prediction on the 2015/16 El Nino event from the perspective of FIO-ESM显示文摘Recently atmospheric and oceanic observations indicate the tropical Pacific is at the El Ni?o condition. However,it's not clear whether this El Ni?o event of this year is comparable to the very strong one of 1997/98 which brought huge influence on the whole world. In this study, based on the Ensemble Adjusted Kalman Filter(EAKF)assimilation scheme and First Institute of Oceanography-Earth System Model(FIO-ESM), the assimilation system is setup, which can provide reasonable initial conditions for prediction. And the hindcast results suggest the skill of El Ni?o-Southern Oscillation(ENSO) prediction is comparable to other dynamical coupled models. Then the prediction for 2015/16 El Ni?o by using FIO-ESM is started from 1 November 2015. The ensemble results indicate that the 2015/16 El Ni?o will continue to be strong. By the end of 2015, the strongest strength is very like more than 2.0°C and the ensemble mean strength is 2.34°C, which indicates 2015/16 El Ni?o event will be very strong but slightly less than that of 1997/98 El Ni?o event(2.40°C) calculated relative a climatology based on the years1992–2014. | 20 | Iguratimod: a valuable remedy from the Asia Pacific region for ameliorating autoimmune diseases and protecting bone physiology显示文摘Autoimmune diseases are affected by complex pathophysiology involving several cell types,cytokines,antibodies,and mimicking factors.Different drugs are used to ameliorate these autoimmune reactions,including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),corticosteroids,antiantibodies,and small molecular drugs(DMARDs),and they are clinically in vogue for diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Nevertheless,low cost-effectiveness,reduced efficacy,adverse effects,and patient nonresponse are unappealing factors driving the development of new drugs such as iguratimod.Iguratimod is primarily used to ameliorate RA in Japanese and Chinese clinics.However,its efficacy against other autoimmune ailments is also under intense investigation,and the number of investigations is becoming increasingly larger with each passing day.The articular structure comprises synovium,ligaments,and bone.The latter is more complex than the others since it regulates blood cells and autoimmunity in addition to providing skeletal support to the body.Therefore,its protection is also of prime importance in RA and other autoimmune diseases.Herein,we have highlighted the role of iguratimod in autoimmune diseases and bone protection.We suggest that iguratimod’s unique mode of action compared with that of other DMARDs and its good patient response makes it a suitable antirheumatic and bone-protecting drug. | Jie Li Jun Bao Jian Zeng Aizhu Yan Chunqiu Zhao Qiang Shu | 2019 | Bone Research2019,7,4: | 4 |
